Homecoming help!!! Need a date!!?

ok so there is this guy who i sit next to in spanish, i have a teeny tiny crush on him (btw both freshman and just met 3 weeks ago) i wud love it if he asked me to homecoming. we both like to hunt and are into the outdoorsy stuff. So with that how shud i act to get him to notice me? Shud i be girly or preppy or skater? And what are the steps of getting a guy to ask u out to a dance... Im shy btw!!
