Question bout ticks?

my daughter was playing outside in the field here and was lying on the gr and noticed somthing crawling on here so she went to feel it and she thought hmm i got a bump so we looked and found this huge ugly tick with white spots on its back we pulled it out of her hair it didnt seem to peirce the skin there was no blood or anything that we could see but should i still be concerned bout this ? and another neighbour of mines daughter also had one playing in gr same place a week prior what does this mean
