SYMBOL (cabala or hebrew): what does this mean?

The letters are: a "yod" at the top; a "chet" on the left and right (maybe a "heh", I can't tell for sure); a "shin" in the middle; and a "vav" at the bottom. The letters do *not* form the first letters of the Hebrew for east, west, etc. I don't know what they are.
