Questions about stomata??

The stoma are the little mouths of the plant. They allow the plant to breathe. The more mouths, the more breathing, but also the more loss of moisture through that process. In arid conditions, the plants have adapted to have less stoma, and either have them surrounded by hairs or in small indentations to prevent loss of moisture.
