Is poetry more telling when it is literal, or....other?

Purty intense, man...and BOTH. Even as the cause is vague allusion, the effect is, nonetheless, grippingly vivid, frighteningly lucid, and heart-breakin' painful in its conclusion! Whoah yeah, y'gotta winner heah! One of your finest writes, IMHO!
